The guys at Rocketworld Gallery are hosting an exhibit by Taro Hattori, an installation, performance and video artist whose works reference pop-culture and banal artifacts to evoke emotional reactions to everyday experience."Taro Hattori riffs on how many of us aestheticize everyday-life devices, such as cars, tools and machine-guns, in an attempt to make our lives more fruitful. Hattori gives hunting and military apparatuses a radical make-over by taking these already beautifully designed and constructed implements and amping them up with 'super decorative and super powerful' surfaces befitting these 'elites of the world of contraption'”.
