"LatinSF would be modeled after ChinaSF, which was set up in 2008 and
has been involved in recruiting more than 20 companies to San Francisco,
including Bank of Communications and China Sunergy Co., Ltd. ChinaSF
has also helped a number of San Francisco businesses extend their
marketing reach into China.
Like ChinaSF, the cost of a LatinSF office would be split between the
city and private funders. The city expects it will need to set aside
$100,000 for the LatinSF venture and wants to find private companies to
put up an equal amount."
